My project of several years duration has been to collect ‘found compositions’ as I take my morning walk in meditation and silence. This photo from three or so years ago was, I think, one of the significant starting points.

What drew me in, what vision grabbed my interest?
Two shapes, both curves, leaping above a geometric horizon. Flecks of gold at the horizon, steel gray clouds filling the sky above, steel gray sea below. My perceptions left the literal and I saw dragons flying on the fire of sunset, leaping into the uttermost West beyond our reach but for dreams…
My project has taken me to visit places inaccessible to anywhere but the imagination, while my feet have gone no more than a mile or so from home.
Thank you, Ursula K. LeGuin.
